Mason is three months old!!!

Well, our little boy is growing up! He was three months old on Sunday. He is laughing and smiling all the time! There have been some great excitement at our house...starting a couple of weeks ago with all night sleeping!!!!! Mason is sleeping all night long...I know! Wait though, it gets better....he is sleeping all night long in his bed...IN HIS ROOM! Jaclynn has also taken to sleeping in Mason's room on the pull out sofa bed! She loves it. So her and Mason are both out of Jason and I's bedroom. We couldn't be happier!

The neatest update we have...Mason ROLLER OVER!!!! Saturday night we put him on the floor and were talking about how he was so close and then he did it. He rolled all the way over, and then started crying because he couldn't get back to the other side. He is growing up!

Two Months and Great!

Mason had his two month check up yesterday. He did great. He had three shots so both of his chubby little legs are sore today. He weighed in at 11lbs 5ozs and was 23 3/4" long. That puts him in the 75% for height and 50% for weight. Meaning...he will be tall and thin! His eyes changed from the new born dark to this beautiful dark blue and he is laughing. The thing he findes funniest...his big sister. He is getting up once a night at 3:30 for a feeding and then again at 7:00. So that isn't so bad!

Jaci finally started acting out...it started first with the spray bottles. Anything in a spray bottle was sprayed until empty in what ever room she was in...which was ok when she spary cleaner in the kitchen...but not ok when a whole bottle of pledge ended up in my bed! Then she cut her hair. Then she moved on to throwing tantrums! SUPER! This went on for about a week and we realized she just needed a little more attention. So Saturday morning Jason played tea party in her room all morning and then I took her to lunch and we went grocery shopping together, just the two of us. Now she is acting much better!

Jason and I started working out Feb 1st. It is going pretty well, all except for the pain I feel every morning in my butt! Hopefully I will be able to put a bathing suit on by summer.
All our love-

Two Kids Twice as Sick

There is a nice little learning curve with two children, I keep telling myself Jason and I are catching on well. Mason was five weeks old and older sister Jaci is holding him. Jaci has a runny nose and a cough nothing I am too concerned about because she is almost three and has her share of colds. Then she turns to Mason and leans in to kiss him...instead showers him in the face with an adult sneeze. I am instantly horrified my toddler with a normal cold has just soaked my newborn in germs! One week later: Mason has a cold, we are talking a cough most smokers don't have and snot you wouldn't believe. So like any new mom I rush him to the doctor...yep, he has a cold. Three days pass, he is worse...back to the doctor. Yep, still sick, but now he has an ear infection SUPER! 10 days of an antibiotic later and NO visitors Mason is doing better. Almost one week later Jaci has a 104 temp. and is starting with the runny nose again. Four days later, Mason is grumpy with a runny nose...WILL IT STOP!? Tune in soon...

Mason Turns One Month Old

Happy One Month Birthday Mason!!!! Mason is a month old and he growing, growing, growing. He is wearing 0-3 month clothes and his little feets are to the end of the toes already in his sleepers. I can't believe how long he is. He smiles and every once in a while we get a little giggle from him. He went to meet his Great Grandparents the other day and loved it. He is NOT sleeping through the night, but will get up at 11, 3 and 6. So the isn't so bad. Hopefully in the next month we will have him going all night long. Once his little eyes find you, he will follow you all around the room, so we know his vision is getting better. All in all he is doing great!

Chicago Crew

The Jacs and Matts were here last weekend, and it was a blast. Last weekend was traditionally the BSU PRSSA CC reunion weekend, but for a million reasons the ones from Chicago were the only ones that could make it. We still had so much fun. Thanks to the best neighbors in the world, we went and played cornwhole in their building "downtown." Then we came back and everyone took over my children. While everyone was there, Jason and I celebrated our 5th wedding aniversary, it was very exciting to reach that milestone. Oddly the day of our anniversary Jacq K. was trying on my wedding dress for her wedding. It was very strange that 5 years ago to the day that dress was worn for my wedding. But now the dress made the trip to Chicago to pass the mom test. I won't lie, I was nervous to see it folded into a trunk, but Jacqueline has promised me that she will protect it with her life. She loved wonderful in it, I hope it passes the test. It was great to see all of them!

Christmas at The Worrell's

Christmas at The Worrell's this year was a little different. We didn't go anywhere, we stayed home and had Christmas come to us. It was nice. I made a Christmas Ham, which I think is a normal ham you just make it on Christmas, and my parents and sister came over for lunch. Jason's family was there in the evening for Jason's 29th birthday, along with our favorite neighbors from the west side...Chuck and Vicki and Brandon and Brittney. They also brought a whole nother round of presents for Jaclynn. After it was all said an done, Jason and I were picking up the living room and realized between the two of us we opened maybe two presents. Jaclynn opened eveything else. She didn't care whose presents they were, she was opening them. But among all the things she had under the tree, her Barbies take the cake. She plays with those thing night and day. Even Jason likes to play them, although he is having a bit of an issue with naked Barbie just hanging out in the Barbie VW Beetle. He is looking for a clothed Barbie at ALL times. We hope you all had a great Christmas too!

Mason's First Smile

Last night Jaci held Mason forever, we found that Mason loves to be held on your chest. So Jaci wanted to hold Mason like the rest of us, she was so proud of herself that she put him to sleep and was so comfy...then...just as I went to take the second picture...Mason smiled! He must have been super comfy and happy on his sister's chest too. They are soooo fun.
